Meet the Therapists
All of the therapists that contract with Menschner & Associates Counseling Services, Inc. are Master’s or Ph.D. level prepared clinicians. Several of them have over 25 years experience working with patients with a variety of diagnoses, problems and issues. Our professionals have expertise to counsel patients with a variety of diagnosed, problems, or issues. Therapists are also available to come to your business, school or civic organization to do seminars/presentations on mental health/behavioral health topics.
Phillis Menschner, LCSW Phillis brings over 25 years experience in the mental and behavioral health fields and has been the director of Menschner & Associates Counseling Services, Inc. since its inception. Phillis is certified by the University of Maryland to treat both children and adolescents, as well as being advanced trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Phillis is available to provide supervision to Masters Lever Registered Interns working towards their licensure. She also conducts 4 hour workshops on Journaling to Your Soul. Phillis is available to consult with Private Practioners on insurance issues, and developing a practice.
Marilyn Willming, RN, CPP, CAP, LMHC Marilyn brings over 40 years experience in the healthcare field by blending the disciplines of psychotherapy, addiction and nursing to offer a holistic approach to counseling. She sees clients as individuals, couples/partners, families and in groups.
Denise Myers, LCSW - Denise has worked with individuals, children/adolescents, families and couples for over 12 years in Orlando, Florida. Denise has extensive background in working with troubled youth, parenting techniques, hurting marriages and depression. She works nights and weekends to accommodate those who have work schedules.
Risé Page, LMHC, NFAC, NCC, CAP
Colin Schlossman, Ph.D, LMHC, NCSAP - Dr. Schlossman has over 20 years experience working with all ages and types of clients and in many environments from individual consultation to small corporations, private singular and group mental health practice, public and private university teaching, substance and alcohol abuse and psychological work for the Florida state prison system. He utilizes various short-term approaches that have been shown effective across a broad spectrum of individuals and settings.
Sara C. Rafferty, MA, LMHC - Sara Rafferty is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 16 years experience with adults and families. She provides an opportunity for each client to attain better understanding of himself, develop skills for improving self-esteem and boost self confidence.
Martha "Marti" Florez, MA, Registered MHC Intern - Marti holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. Her clinical experience has concentrated on counseling individuals, couples and families with a variety of presenting issues. She provides counseling services for children 5 years and older, adolescents and adults. Marti also has experience working within the field of addictions.
Women's Group
Focus on empowerment, awareness, defining self, choices, letting go/forgiveness and assertiveness skills.
Children's Group
Children 7 to 12 years of age will learn to manage anger, gain self-control, improve social skills, build self-esteem, learn to express feelings appropriately, develop problem solving skills and have fun!
Adolescent Group
Teens ages 13 to 17 with behavioral issues can identify criteria for the group to monitor and complete as they move toward more acceptable behaviors for interaction with peers, family, school, work, and community.
Anger Management Class
A 12 session cognitive behavioral therapy treatment model that employs relaxation, cognitive, and communication skills interventions. Includes workbook and assignments. Certificate upon completion. Class satisfies requirement for local social service agencies and court orders.
Substance Abuse
Outpatient treatment program for those involved with alcohol and other substances. Treatment includes a combinations of individual and group therapy.
Parent Education on ADHD
Six sessions to help parents and other caregivers to better understand what's going on in brain development and how to improve interactions with those having ADHD.
Journaling Workshop
4 Hour session to learn the basis for journaling, the physiological and psychological effects of journaling, and multiple journaling techniques that will help you reach various levels of emotional discovery.
Men's Issues
Sometimes it feels that men carry around the weight of the world on their shoulders. Learn how to balance, family, relationship, work, personal being and more.
